Cellular Pharmacology Engineer, Practical School of Advanced Studies, Panthéon-Sorbonne University, Paris IV  It was during the course of his studies at the Sorbonne that Olivier became a member of INSERM, the French National Institute for Health and Medical Research, in order to carry out research relating to his thesis on vaccination against colon cancer. A young graduate, he was then called up for military services and his work was taken over by another researcher, Frederic HENRY. upon returning to INSERM, Olivier met up with Frederic and got to know Marc MEICHENIN. Their many discussions led to the idea of developing a decontamination technique for cells infected by mycoplasma...Clean Cells was born !  Olivier's mission: "As part of the Management Committee, my partners and I work together on developing the company's strategy. We then each take responsibility for a particular area. I take car of networking with our partners and our sales and marketing strategy. Finally, I represent Clean Cells in our external relations."  What Olivier values: "I am very proud ofthis three-man Management team that we have set up as part of this amazing human and scientific adventure. Focus, care and innovation combined with humility are at the heart of our business strategy. Our teams fully support these principles to my very great satisfaction."  Â
PhD in life and health sciences, University of Nantes
Doctorate in life and health sciences, University of Nantes.  Marc did his thesis in biological oncology at INSERM, where he worked on the injection of cells into animals. He very quickly recognized the importance of detecting mycoplasmas, a subject to which he devoted his efforts and which he rapidly established as a standard among the other researchers at the institute. In 2000, he was involved in setting up Clean Cells.  Marc's mission: "As Scientific Director, my mission is to ensure, day by day, that we maintain the right standard of our analyses and that we meet our deadlines. I maintain the technical interface with our clients and manage the ten members of our production team. Also GLP Directors of Studies, I am involved in drafting protocols and in preparing stydy plans and final reports. We have recently hired twe new study directors to support the growing demand in GLP studies."  What Marc values: "We are generally involved well upstream of our clients' production process, which gives us a very satisfactory advisory and supportive role. I enjoy this relationship based on transparency and the exchange of ideas and the gratitude that we receive from our clients for detecting mycoplasmas, of course, but also all other types of viral or bacterial contamination." Â
Doctorate in cell biology and immunology from the University of Nantes After completing a thesis in immuno-oncology in collaboration with INSERM and the cellular therapy company IDM, Laurent joined Clean Cells in 2002. He now heads the Research and Development department, consisting of three doctors of biology and engineers.  Laurent's mission: "With my team, which is exceptionnally largoe for a company of our size, my mission is to establish new techniques and validate methods based on all the latest regulatory requirements. We carry out contract R&D, either as support for other Clean Cells departments or for new internal developments."  What Laurent values: "The biotech sector is constantly evolving. Our clients, like ourselves, are building their future day by day. I like the strong partnerships that have been built up between us as each of us has progressed, with each party making its own contribution to a fine organization that is still in its youth."  Â
